　この度、万国外科学会日本支部事務局より、International Surgical Week (ISW) 2026の開催について周知が依頼されましたので、ご連絡申し上げます。

Announcement to Japanese Surgeons: International Surgical Week ISW 2026
The Japan Surgical Society is pleased to inform its members about the upcoming International Surgical Week (ISW) 2026, the 51st World Congress of Surgery of the International Society of Surgery (ISS/SIC). The congress will be held in Mexico City, Mexico, from 19 to 23 April 2026.

About ISW 2026
International Surgical Week is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious multidisciplinary surgical congresses, bringing together surgeons, educators, and researchers from across the globe. ISW 2026 will provide an excellent platform for academic exchange, presentation of cutting-edge research, and discussion of future directions in surgical practice.
A wide range of surgical fields will be covered, including general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, trauma and emergency surgery, endocrine and breast surgery, surgical oncology, metabolism and nutrition, minimally invasive surgery, and surgical education.

Scientific Program
Pre-congress educational courses will begin on 18 April 2026, followed by the main scientific sessions and official opening from 20 to 23 April 2026. The program will feature keynote lectures by internationally recognized leaders, symposia, free paper sessions, and poster presentations.
Japanese surgeons are strongly encouraged to participate actively by attending sessions, submitting abstracts, and engaging in international collaboration.

International Collaboration
ISW 2026 is organized by the International Society of Surgery (ISS/SIC) in cooperation with its integrated societies and local organizing partners in Mexico. Participation in this congress offers Japanese surgeons valuable opportunities to strengthen international networks and to showcase Japanese surgical expertise on a global stage.
