Awards For Outstanding Contributions |

The Japan Surgical Society offers awards of encouragement to surgeons who have made a remarkable contribution to the field of surgery through publishing their reserch in Surgery Today. Every year, a few surgeons will each be awarded an amount of 500,000 yen for their excellent research work following the final decision by the selection committee of the Japan Surgical Society |

In the initial stage of selection, authors of commendable works from among all the manuscripts published in Surgery Today Nos.1 to 12 inclusive are nominated by the editors. The selection committee then decides upon the most outstanding works and approval of this decision is given by the Board of Japan Surgical Society. |

|
The winning authors are presented with their grant and a certificate during the Annual Congress of the Japan Surgical Society. |
